My demo reel starts off with the opening to my mini-documentary on the history of the Victoria Theatre and what the theatre means to the community of Dayton. Next is a clip from a short story video that I created entitled “Her Birthday” which is a visual story without words about an older man reflecting on the birthday of his wife after her passing. This project relied heavily on lighting, scene editing and emotion to tell the story. We then move on to an animated introduction video for an 8-part DVD seminary series. I created each introduction video individually to go with the title and message of the video. Next is an introduction video for a local band, the Alloy Clowns. For this clip, I filmed the interviews individually, used green screen effects and edited in “censored” bars and sound, as well as creatively clipped the edited interview parts together as one comedic whole. After this, I have practice footage and game footage that I had taken for the Columbus Destroyers, our local Arena Football League team. There were very specific guidelines from the Arena Football League and the team Head Coach that each video required so I made sure that I met and exceeded the quality expectations. I then finish the reel with a clip from the mini-documentary about the Victoria Theatre, featuring the former CEO of the Victoria Theatre Association, Ken Newfeld as he explains some of the history of the theatre and the part it played in Dayton Ohio’s culture throughout the years.
Thanks for watching!
